Wish the A's well in 2010!

The April issue of Oakland Business Review will contain a special section dedicated to the Oakland A's. And, for just $100, Chamber members can run a display ad wishing the team well during the coming season while at the same time marketing their own businesses - a "win" for you and a "win" for Oakland and the A's. The deadline is Friday, March 19. For information, contact Hank Masler at (510) 874-4808 or at hmasler@oaklandchamber.com.

CHAMBER NOW SELLING FEDERAL AND STATE EMPLOYMENT POSTERS

The Chamber is now selling 2010 California and Federal Employment Posters. If you get one thing to protect your company in 2010 from liability and government fines, it should be the labor law poster (regular or laminated), which is required for all businesses. Whether you have one employee or 1,000 employees, you're required to post 16 state and federal notices. You can avoid fines in the thousands of dollars by purchasing a poster from the Chamber for only $23 (plus tax). We're also selling the 2010 HR Handbook for California Employers, which guides local employers through key human resource areas, and the California Labor Law Digest, a comprehensive reference for the latest California-specific and federal employment laws in plain language. For more information, contact Hank Masler at the Chamber at hmasler@oaklandchamber.com or at (510) 874-4808.
