Letter from the President |
Dear members and friends,
Learn more about the new
healthcare reform
The U.S. Small Business
Administration now has a
link on their homepage (www.sba.gov)
to a Small Business and
Healthcare Reform Resource
page.
By visiting
www.sba.gov/healthcarereform/index.html,
small business owners can
access links to
WhiteHouse.gov,
HealthReform.gov, and even
the IRS site on tax credit.
These are very good
resources with key points
for small businesses
regarding the new law,
including:
-
What's in healthcare
reform for small
businesses?
-
How to determine if
you're eligible for the
tax credit that is
effective this year.
-
Several hypothetical
scenarios for small
businesses and how the
new law affects those
businesses.
As the SBA, the White House,
Health and Human Services
and other agencies develop
more resources for small
businesses on the new law,
it will be added to the SBA
Small Business and
Healthcare Reform Resource
page.
God Bless America!

JOIN US FOR THE MAY 21 A'S - GIANTS
'BATTLE OF THE BAY'
|
Are you ready for the 2010 Battle of
the Bay? The San Francisco Giants
cross the bridge to Oakland to play
the A's on Friday night, May 21, and
the Chamber has arranged for seats
at the game and a pre-game
all-you-can-eat dinner at nearby
Francesco's restaurant.
This 2010 Chamber Night with the A's
begins at 5 p.m. with dinner hosted
by Francesco's (8520 Pardee Drive at
Hegenberger Road) - an indoor
tailgate party complete with hot
dogs, hamburgers, French fries,
salads, bottled water and assorted
sodas.
And, as a special treat, former
Major Leaguer and current Oakland
businessman Dave McCarty, who played
for the A's in 2003 and the Giants
in 1995-96 - and earned a World
Series ring when the Boston Red Sox
won the World Series in 2004 - will
be on hand to join in the fun.
Following dinner, participants can
carpool to the Coliseum. Cars can
also be left for no charge in the
Francesco's parking lot and picked
up after the game.
Chamber members and guests will be
able to sit together in section 204
of the Oakland Coliseum on the Plaza
Level down the right field line
directly above the visiting bullpen.
The cost for the all-you-can-eat
dinner and a seat at the game is $40
per person, or $50 for non-members.
Should you only wish to reserve
tickets for the game (with no
dinner), the cost is $22 for members
and $25 for non-members.
To reserve tickets or for more
information on the May 21 dinner and
A's-Giants game at the Oakland
Coliseum, please
