Chamber events offer more than just entertainment and information. They promote networking and doing business in a business casual setting. Each of our carefully crafted events offers a chance to see old friends, meet new ones, and promote long-lasting business relationships.
The following are just some of the many Chamber events during the 2012 calendar year.
REGULAR EVENTS
Visit the Oakland Chamber Calendar to learn more about the speakers and topics for the current month:
BUSINESS AFTER HOURS MIXERS. Held the fourth Thursday of every month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at a variety member locations around town. No charge to Chamber members, $15 for non-members. A great way to get a feel for the Chamber and its member businesses!
BREAKFAST AT THE CHAMBER. Updates of Chamber activities for prospective, new and long-time members. Held the third Thursday of every month from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Chamber. Includes breakfast, an overview of Chamber activities, and powerful morning networking.
INSIDE OAKLAND BREAKFASTS. Held the third Friday of every month from 8:30 to 10 a.m. These monthly events feature civic and business leaders who impact life and work in Oakland. Free of charge for members, $10 for non-members.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FORUM. Held the second Wednesday of every month from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Chamber members discuss current issues and projects shaping the future of the city. Free of charge for members and non-members.
SPECIAL EVENTS
OAKLAND AND EAST BAY BUSINESS AND PROCUREMENT FAIR. A quality business fair that features over 60 public agencies and local businesses. Join us at the Convention Center on March 2nd, 2012 for a great event.
BUSINESS LEADERS TOUR OF CHINA. The Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Citslinc International, invited you on a unique trip to China! Departing in April of every year, this outstanding opportunity includes roundtrip airfare, 4- or 5-star hotel stays, three full meals each day, and deluxe tour buses in a number of China’s most exciting cities. Reservations due by December 10th, 2011 for the April 2012 Trip.
ANNUAL NORTHERN CALIFORNIA MEGAREGION SUMMIT. The third event in the Chamber's MegaRegion Summit series will take place on Friday, May 4th, 2012. This event is hosted by the Port, City and Chamber of Commerce of Oakland and will feature a theme of “Oakland: Heart of the MegaRegion.” Learn more about this event here.
ANNUAL MEETING & CHAMBER AWARDS LUNCHEON. Some 500 local business leaders honor Chamber member businesses at this popular luncheon. The 2012 event, scheduled for Wednesday, June 27th, will be the 107th annual and will feature 100% member-nominated awards in a variety of categories.
GOLF CLASSIC & ACADEMY. A fun day to play golf and do some quality networking. Participation available as an individual golfer and in foursomes. A beginners academy is available for non-golfers. Save the date of October 15, 2012 today.
COMCAST AMERICA’S CHILDREN’S HOLIDAY PARADE. The America’s Children’s Holiday Parade is a completely child-oriented parade that marches down Broadway on the first Saturday of every December. This outstanding events draws up to 100,000 viewers on the street and airs nationwide on PBS and world-wide on the American Forces Network.
EAST BAY WOMEN IN BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE. Bimonthly luncheons feature excellent networking opportunities with guest speakers who discuss issues relevant to women in business. The 2012 series is scheduled for the first Friday of every other month - February, April, June, August, and October and will feature a “Women Who Inspire” theme. POWER BREAKFASTS. Feature speeches by some of the nation’s most influential political, business and educational leaders. Held at various venues throughout the city on an as-scheduled basis.
