Climate

Located on the sunny side of San Francisco Bay, Oakland and its surrounding communities are proud of its Mediterranean-type climate.

Temperatures range from the 50s and 60s during the winter months to the 70s and 80s during the summer. The warmest months are September and October.

Even though Oakland and San Francisco are only separated by a bridge, Oakland’s temperature is usually five degrees warmer year-round, and varies little from month to month.
