It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of  Tom Guarino on December 30^th from COVID. Having worked in Public Affairs for PGE for close to 20 years as well as CEO of not one but two Chamber’s in Northern California, Tom was a dedicated member of our Chamber family and a giant presence in Oakland. It is devastating for his immediate family and of course heartbreaking for our extended Oakland community, and those of us who have known and worked with Tom for decades.  There really are no words to express the sadness and loss we feel. Although often used to describe many – Tom was truly larger than life – always lighthearted, community focused and optimistic. He will be so missed.
